The Horrors of Fur Affinity.

In this community, we document horrific, disgusting, repugnant, nonsensical, offensive, weird, and downright bizarre Fur Affinity submissions, and anything else there that meets these criteria.

Say here what would be considered harassment on the mainsite, or what would be just plain rude if said to a featured user. Comments here will be just as entertaining as on the mainsite, and will not get you in trouble in either location.

-Do not troll the featured artists. Do not use this community to organize any trolling efforts; this is a violation of the LJ TOS. Don't harass the artists, state or imply that they should be harassed, or cause them problems. Do not comment on a featured submission with a link back to here, or with snark.

-Do not spam featured submissions or journals. Do not participate in or contribute to the spamming of submissions or journals. For example, if you see a number of different users replying to something with a copied message, do not yourself reply with that same message.

-Do not continue to offer critiques to featured artists who have stated they do not wish to receive constructive criticism. It does not matter if they should be able to take it; at best, continuing to give it is wasted, at worst, it is concern trolling.

-If you spot an AUP violation, do not try to be a "minimod" or "backseat moderator" by pointing it out to the featured artist. You can file a trouble ticket instead.

-Do not post anyone's personal information without their permission. "Personal information" includes information that is publically available. This is against LiveJournal's TOS.

-Do not disable, delete, or freeze comments.

-New: Do not delete your own posts.

-Beginner art is not admissible merely in virtue of poor execution. If the artist has been drawing for a number of years prior and you want to feature him/her, this is acceptable regardless of skill level. If the piece has a "horrific" subject matter, any other subject matter worthy of “snark,” or if the artist is not a beginner and the piece has a “horrific” execution, this is acceptable.

-Do not post content that is simply your own personal drama. In and of themselves your vendettas are not bizarre, disturbing, horrific, funny, and/or "wtf."

-Do not flame other users.

-If your post includes a NSFW image, it must be behind a cut, and it must have the appropriate adult content setting.

-When featured submissions are adult depictions of underaged characters/lolicon/shotacon, make a note of it in either your post's title, description, or tags (e.g. "underage material").

-Focus on art/submissions; this is not an absolute requirement, but art is the focus of this community.

-Include some sort of description with your post.

-Assume that links provided are NSFW unless otherwise stated.

-The following FurAffinty users or subject matters are considered overplayed or "old meme." Feature sparingly; save them for slow days.
Chimera Synx
Minor anatomical errors
Unremarkable Myspace-style User Photographs
Obvious trolls
Rule 34
Saber leopardess
The Great Hamster
Zoophiles/zoophilia (absent drama, confessions of illegal activities, or additional "wtf" subject matter)

Allan (or anything that he commissions or is gifted, unless the picture itself is wtf, not just the fact it has something to do with Allan)

-You may post your own work.

-Non-permanent bans will last from about one week to about a month.

-This community has moderated membership. All posts as of 6/11/09 are members-only by default.

-If other wtf_fa or FurAffinity users themselves violate site rules, you may write up a trouble ticket.

-These lists are subject to update, particularly the overused/old meme list.

-smartsnark and wtf_anatomy are better places to feature works for minor anatomical errors.
